Steamboat Springs - 2011
We went on a ski trip this past January to Steamboat Springs, CO. We had such a blast! The kids were skiing ALL over the mountain - they actually went to the top top of the mountain and skied some blues. How is this possible? I am such a chicken and had my own little run the kids kindly renamed it "Momma's Slope" since I just stayed on that one the entire time....
We went ice skating. Okay, so we have ice skated before, but have always just asked for our shoe sizes with no problem. Who knew you had an option for figure skating or hockey?? Skates are skates are skates right??
One of the most amazing things about our trip was the day trip Dog Sledding. I would have never thought this was something I would enjoy - but it was AMAZING! Branagan and I had a sled to ourselves with Robert and Caleb following behind in their own sled. We went on a 12 mile route around the mountains. Since we were the first sled it seemed like we were the only 2 people out there alone with our 7 dogs. Branagan is a bit afraid of bigger dogs but by the end she knew them all by name and was ready to bring them all home with us. I am ready to go back and do it again!!
